Vision Quest Africa has eight years of experience working with organizations locally and abroad. The company has built substantial competence in assisting organizations in building organizational, leadership and management capacity. Pioneering work has been done in helping organizations understand the specific need to build the individual capacity of their staff.
Early on, it was realized that the lack of organizational effectiveness and motivation in client organizations very often had little to do with peoples organizational skills, but more to do with a person's own abilities to understand themselves and others. Moreover, a person's own skills in personal leadership and self-management (including personal attitude, life purpose and values) are identified as the core issue for the lack of organizational ineffectiveness.
For VQA this lesson was the catalyst for the development of a specific approach in organizational development, where a new focus was placed on leadership formation and development. This approach is now widely applied in VQA work with organizations. It also led to the development of a specific formation program in personal leadership and self management and what has today become known as "Strategic life management". Over 60 different programs using this approach has been successfully offered.
